NAKUM: Located 17 km (11 miles) North of Yaxha, Nakum´s visible architecture is the main attraction of this Maya surrounded by dense tropical forest.

Here you will find the best preserved and restored crest structure (above the temples) outside of what you can see in Tikal.

Our tour of Nakum in one day includes:

Note: This tour is available only during the dry season (November to May)
Due to the vicinity between Yaxhá and Nakum it is possible to visit both archaeological sites in one day.

Nakum: The archeological site, Nakum is situated at 17 km north of Yaxhá, in front of the river Holmul. The main feature is the abundance of visible architecture like the restored building with roofcomb which is best preserved besides the ones in Tikal.
