Protected Personnel
Martsam Travel provides the means and equipment necessary for our staff to maintain regular personal monitoring of temperature, use a mask, and access disinfectants to guarantee their well-being and health.

We Avoid Crowds
We avoid destinations and activities that involve crowds. Our services are carried out in private, and destinations are visited at off-peak hours, thus fulfilling our goal of providing you with safety and satisfaction when visiting destinations.

Sanitized Transportation
All vehicles used in our services maintain a constant disinfection process to guarantee your safety in each service. In each unit, you will have access to hand sanitizer and masks to ensure compliance with safety protocols and your satisfaction.

Safe Properties
We have strengthened partnerships with lodging providers to keep your security first commitment. We work with properties that have implemented a monitoring system for their staff, disinfection of their facilities, and compliance with access to disinfection material as well as respect for social distancing

Risk-free Cancellation Special

The following policies have taken effect on January 15, 2021, and will be valid until December 15, 2021, temporarily replacing the previous policies; for more details, do not hesitate to contact us

The following terms and conditions apply to all Tours organized by Martsam Tour & Travel.

For this purpose, the term “Tours” shall include all room accommodation bookings at hotels, resorts, excursions, tours, transfers, rentals, etc., that have been organized on your behalf by Martsam Travel and Birdwatching Tours.

Trip Payment: We do ask for deposits, and we kindly request that payment is made in the following manner:

  • 25% of the total cost of the booking is required at the time booking is confirmed.
  • 100% total cost of the reservation on or before 30 days of departure for Guatemala tours and 45 days before departure for Belize, Mexico, and Honduras tours.
  • Reservations made less than 30 days for Guatemala and 45 days for Belize, Mexico, and Honduras prior to the departure date must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
  • On Holidays such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Holy Week, apply special payment schedules that will be informed by the representative of Martsam Travel when receiving a confirmation from the traveler or may require full payment depending on the date of booking.

Cancellations and Refunds: If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip, the following fees will apply computed as the date of receipt of the written cancellation notice.

Minimum fee
15 days or more before arrival

  • All non-refundable deposits, surcharges, and deposits will be charged (e.g., non-refundable domestic airfare, helicopter trip deposits, or hotel deposits)
  • Fully refundable, less 5% of the payment due to bank account management,
  • 100% travel credit for the same trip postponed, change tour or destination change (charges may apply due to holiday season and availability)

14-7 days prior to arrival

  • All non-refundable deposits, surcharges, and deposits will be charged (e.g., non-refundable domestic airfare, helicopter trip deposits, or hotel deposits)
  • A cancellation fee of 25% of the entire trip cost will be charged

7  days or less

  • 100% of the trip cost will be charged
