    Day 1Arrival in the city of Merida

    The Martsam Travel team will welcome you at the Merida International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxing holistic massage to charge you with energy for an adventurous journey. At night, you will have an authentic Mexican food dinner.

    Six-nights lodging at Merida City.

    Day 2Cuisine and Tasting

    During the morning, you will have a short trip to Merida City. Then, you will visit the Hacienda Teya and Hacienda Vista Alegre, which are colonial jewels from the 17th century, dedicated to the Henequen plantation.

    The first stop will be at Hacienda Teya. You will have a tour around the Hacienda and then enjoy a delicious Yucatecan lunch.

    After, you will visit Hacienda Vista Alegre, one of the most important and prestigious rum and exotic fruits liquor producers. The visit includes the visit to the oak barrels, ceramics and distillery area, and a tasting and explanation of the product’s process.

    The day will end with a visit to a 100-years tavern located in Merida’s historic center. The taverns, or cantinas, are a tradition in Yucatan. They surged along with the production of Yucatecan brewery. During this day, you will have the opportunity to try typical tapas and Mexican liquors.

    At night, return to your hotel.

    Day 3Markets and Cooking class with Yucatecan flavors

    In the morning, transfer to Muna (30 minutes). The experience begins with a visit to the local market to get to know fruits, vegetables, seeds, tubers, and vegetables used in Mexican cuisine.

    Afterwards, you will be transferred to a Yucatecan Mayan family home. You will have the opportunity to prepare different Yucatecan and Mexican plates and enjoy lunch of what is cooked with the family. Also, you will visit a Maya pottery workshop.

    At sunset, visit a cenote for night snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters.

    Day 4Hacienda Tour

    On this day, you will get to know an essential part of the Yucatecan history through the Haciendas producers of Henequen, and the culture of the people who lived the conquest, necessity, and glory.

    You will have lunch at Hacienda Pedro Ochil, a beautiful hacienda, wholly restored with delicious Mexican and International cuisine.

    In the afternoon, transfer to your hotel.

    Day 5Cultural City Tour

    Today, you will enjoy a cultural city tour around the historic center of Merida. Here, you will see modern and classic art galleries and enjoy the Anthropological and Historic museums in the Canton Palace, such as the Casa Quinta Montes Molina Museum, and the most ancient Cathedral of the American continent. You will also visit the Casa Montejo house, the handicrafts market, and many other places of interest.

    Day 6 Mayan Cities

    After breakfast, a departure from the hotel to visit archaeological sites. The first stop will be at Canceh (40 minutes). Its principal plaza counts will two different restored buildings: the pyramid and the Estucos Palace.

    After, transfer to Mayapan, the last Mayan capital, and today, a walled city. Between its temples, we found a lower dimension replica of the Chichen Itza Castle, named Kikulkan. Here we can see administrative and religious buildings, as well as the former governor’s residencies.

    You will also have the opportunity to visit Mani, a city with one of the Franciscans convents where Mayan codices were destroyed.

    In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Merida.

    Day 7 Celestun

    After breakfast, departure to Celestun (1.5 hours). At your arrival, you will board a boat for a nature tour around the mangroves, spot flamingos, and other shorebirds. After the tour, transfer to a resort for you to rest and enjoy the beach.

    Day 8 & 9 Free Days

    You will have two free days to rest and enjoy the beautiful beaches in Celestun.

    Day 10Back Home

    At your convenience, transfer to the International Airport of Merida (1.5 hours) in time for you to take your flight back home.
