    Day 1Arrival – Panama City

Fly into the Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama City where our airport representative will meet you at your gate holding a sign with your name on it. They will guide you through the immigration process and bring you to our VIP Lounge where you can relax with a cocktail while they collect your bags. You will spend the first two nights in the capital’s historic and trendy Casco Viejo neighborhood which is full of the city’s best restaurants, cafes, and bars.

    Day 2Panama Canal

After breakfast you will be met in the lobby of your hotel by your private tour guide for the day. Enjoy a private full day guided tour of Panama City and the Panama Canal itself to learn about the history, culture, and bustling economy of Panama. Start by getting to know the 500-year-old French-colonial part of town, Casco Viejo, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most popular part of the capital city. Next visit the Miraflores Visitor Center where you will get a chance to see ships passing through the locks as they make their way from one side of the world to the other. Learn about the 100-year history of the Canal, how it works, and the astounding amount of business it generates for Panama daily. After lunch spend a couple hours in the brand-new Frank Gehry Biodiversity Museum, a fantastic tribute to both Panama’s biodiversity as the “Land Bridge of the Americas”.

    Day 3David City

This morning you will take a short domestic flight to Western Panama and the second biggest city in the country, David. Your private transfer will meet you at the airport and head north into the mountains and the inviting town of Boquete. This popular destination in Panama is known for its excellent boutique hotels and growing international culinary scene, so enjoy this afternoon exploring town on your own.

    Day 4Boquete Region

Experience the highlights of the Boquete region as you embark on a full day tour that covers a new hanging bridges project, coffee plantations, and the best canopy zip-line tour in the country. You will spend your day on the border of the La Amistad National Park, or the ‘Friendship National Park’, a huge cross-border reserve that covers 470,209 acres in both Costa Rica and Panama. Due to the unique multinational cooperation of the park and the incredible number of big cats, tapirs, and hundreds of species of birds that live here it has also been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the beauty of the cloud forest as you walk amongst the canopy and then soar over it on the zip-line.

    Day 5 Bocas del Toro

Today you will leave the cooler weather of cloud forest and head for the warm tropical Caribbean as you head to the beautiful archipelago of Bocas del Toro. Located on Panama’s western Caribbean Coast, this beautiful cluster of islands features great beaches, clear, calm waters that are full of marine life and a fun and growing town to enjoy nightlife and local restaurants. To avoid the crowds on the main island of Isla Colon we will have you stay at our top ranked eco-luxury lodge out on Isla Bastimentos. The 11 rooms are private bungalows and feature surprising amenities like air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot water showers, and a private deck with rocking chairs. Relax and unwind as you enjoy complimentary use of kayaks, snorkel gear, fishing gear, and over 200 acres of untouched island rainforest.

The popular Arenal Volcano region offers natural highlights like lush rainforest, waterfalls, thermal hot springs, and finally the picture-perfect cone of the Arenal Volcano itself. One of Costa Rica’s “must see” destinations, choose between small boutique hotels, larger hot spring resorts, or even one of the top rated hotels in all of Central America if you want to treat yourself to ultra-luxury.

These open-air gondolas are a smooth and easy way to get a birds-eye view of the rainforest canopy. Next visit the 200 ft La Fortuna Waterfall, one of the most picturesque in the country. Hike down 500 steps to the base of the waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the surprisingly cool waters! The afternoon and evening are yours to soak in the thermal hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic properties.
