In this one day cultural tour, you will visit San Juan El Obispo San Pedro Las Huertas, Ciudad Vieja (Guatemala’s former second capital, which buried in 1541).
Then we stop by Santiago Zamora women´s cooperative and San Antonio Aguas Calientes. The Santiago Zamora cooperative is a women´s organization particularly centers on featuring to visitors their local daily life at home.
The displays start with an exhibition of the local textiles; you will find out how to form the threads until utilizing the back strap loom and obtain the final textile.
Find out how to prepare a cup of coffee from the seed to the cup, at the end enjoy an excellent local food “pepian” made of many species, and they add pork, beef or chicken.

We will head towards San Juan el Obispo, to visit the cathedral, the chocolate and medlar factory.
Our trip continues visiting San Pedro las, Huertas Central Park, public communal sinks and the local jade factory.
Now is time to visit the second capital of Guatemala, known actually as Ciudad Vieja (old city), time to learn about the natural phenomena that destroyed the colonial city in 1541. The cathedral is a beautiful historical and architectonic monument that we will visit too.
After Ciudad Vieja, we will head towards Santiago Zamora a small village where we will visit the women association to discover the magic world of textiles of Guatemala. A place to enjoy a tasty local food called Pepian.
After lunch, we will pass trough San Antonio Aguas Calientes central park and church, a village known as the primary producer of textiles in the country.
After our one day cultural tour around Antigua, we return to your hotel (around 3:00 pm).
