Most travelers plan seven to ten days for Antigua, Lake Atitlán, and Tikal, and that works well at a relaxed pace. With less time, we focus on one or two regions and go deeper. With ten to fourteen days or more, we can add the highlands, the Verapaces, quieter Maya sites, or a Belize extension — and if your days cannot comfortably hold everything on your list, we will say so and help you choose.

Most travelers enjoy the dry season, roughly November through April: clear skies, easier travel to Tikal, and volcano views at their best, with December and January the coolest months in Antigua and the highlands. May and October are quieter and greener, with gentler rates; most days are workable and afternoon rain is possible. Whatever dates you have, we will tell you honestly what to expect on your route.
